Private Chapel Service

Our Private Chapel Service

A private chapel service offers families a peaceful, intimate and dignified way to honour a loved one without the formality or scale of a traditional chapel service funeral at a crematorium. At Forever Together Funeral Care, this option is designed for those who prefer a smaller gathering, have only a few mourners attending, or simply want a meaningful yet uncomplicated farewell. Priced at £2,900 (all inclusive), it provides a thoughtful alternative to direct cremation while remaining personal, gentle and cost-effective.

The service is held within one of our funeral branch’s blessed chapels, creating a warm and private setting where family and friends can gather, reflect and say goodbye. No attendees are present at the crematorium; instead, the ceremony takes place exclusively in our chapel, allowing families to focus on what matters most—honouring the life of their loved one in a way that feels personal and true.

A Quiet and Intimate Approach to Farewell

Many families find comfort in choosing a private chapel service because it offers a calm, intimate environment free from time pressures or the formal structure of larger venues. This setting is particularly suited to:

  • Families seeking a simple, low-fuss farewell
  • Those wishing to avoid direct cremation but still keep the service small and personal
  • Mourners who prefer privacy and reflection rather than a public ceremony
  • Loved ones with limited attendees or those who would feel overwhelmed by larger gatherings

Our chapel services create space for heartfelt moments, quiet reflection, shared memories and gentle support from those closest to you.

Why Choose a Private Chapel Service?

For many families, chapel services offer a meaningful balance between tradition and simplicity. A private chapel service gives you the benefit of a personalised ceremony without the added pressures of larger venues or attendance limitations imposed by crematorium schedules.

Some of the reasons families choose this option include:

  • A desire for a peaceful environment to express their grief
  • The opportunity to personalise the service more freely
  • A smaller, more comfortable setting that feels intimate and safe
  • Affordability compared to full traditional funerals
  • More time to spend within the chapel, allowing the service to unfold gently

This type of service can be especially comforting for those who feel that a quiet, less formal farewell best reflects the wishes of their loved one.

Payment Policy

When arranging any funeral, costs are divided into funeral director’s fees and third-party fees (disbursements). Funeral director’s fees cover the services we provide directly, while third-party fees include crematorium charges, celebrant fees and doctors’ fees where applicable.

For our private chapel service, we require a deposit within 48 hours of making the arrangements. The deposit covers all third-party fees. The remaining balance must be settled at least 48 hours before the service takes place. If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, we may need to postpone the funeral date.

We accept Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) payments and can support you with the application process if you believe you may qualify.

No Hidden Fees

Families choosing our private chapel service can do so with complete confidence. All pricing is transparent, clearly explained and free from unexpected charges. The price you are quoted is exactly what you will pay unless you choose to add optional items or enhancements.

At Forever Together Funeral Care, we believe clarity during a time of grief is essential, and our commitment to honesty is one of the reasons families trust us to guide them through.
