A simple funeral package provides families with a respectful, affordable and straightforward way to honour their loved one without compromising on care, dignity or quality. At Forever Together Funeral Care, our Simple Funeral Packages have been carefully designed to keep costs to a minimum while ensuring every family receives the same compassionate support and professional service we are known for.
We understand that financial circumstances vary, and many families prefer a lower-cost option that still provides a meaningful and traditional farewell. Our simple packages balance affordability with dignity, giving you everything you need for a respectful service at a clear, honest price.
Simple Funeral Package Pricing
Our Simple Funeral Packages are available across several local crematoriums and cemeteries, with transparent pricing to help you make the best choice for your circumstances:
Portchester Crematorium: £4,328
Kingston or Milton Cemetery: from £4,111
The Oaks, Havant Crematorium: from £4,617
(Please note that The Oaks Crematorium charges a higher fee for Friday services, so prices are based on Monday–Thursday bookings.)
These packages include visiting your loved one in any of our chapels of rest, ensuring you have the opportunity to say goodbye in a peaceful and supportive environment.
What Is Included in Our Simple Funeral Package?
Our simple funeral package includes all essential elements needed for a dignified, traditional funeral. To keep the price as low as possible, the package cannot be customised with additional services (except hygienic treatment, which may be added for £205). However, if any included service or item is not required, we will deduct it from the package price—ensuring you only pay for what you need.
Funeral Director’s Fees
Your package includes:
- Professional fees and all essential services
- Full care and attention for your loved one
- Bringing your loved one into our care during office hours (10am–4pm)*
- Visiting your loved one in any of our chapels of rest
- A fully fitted, lined, light oak veneered coffin
- Hearse and four pallbearers**
- Scatter tube for ashes
- Complimentary Memory Box (optional)
Third-Party Fees (Disbursements)
These essential external costs are included:
- Minister or celebrant fee
- Crematorium fee
- Webcast
- Visual life tribute (up to 25 photos)
For burial packages at Kingston or Milton Cemetery, the interment fee is included; however, the grave purchase fee is not and must be paid separately.

Important
Grave ownership costs vary depending on whether the deceased was a Portsmouth City Council resident. Please speak with your arranger for accurate pricing and guidance.
* Removal outside office hours incurs an additional charge of £50.
** Additional pallbearers may be required at £50 each; you will be advised where necessary.

Payment Policy for Simple Funeral Packages
We believe in complete transparency during every stage of funeral planning. A funeral cost is made up of two elements:
Funeral Director’s Fees – our professional services, care and coordination
Third-Party Fees (Disbursements) – external costs such as crematorium or burial fees, celebrant fees and doctor’s fees (where applicable)
In most cases, we require a deposit within 48 hours of arranging the funeral. This deposit covers disbursement fees. The remaining balance must be settled at least 48 hours before the funeral takes place.
If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, we may need to postpone the funeral.
We can also assist families who may qualify for Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) funeral support. Please speak to one of our arrangers for advice and guidance.
